Beth didn't tag me or anything, but this looked fun, and my brain hurts too much to think of other things to blog about, so this will sum it up.
8 things that I am looking forward to:
1. Going to Philadelphia to see Bess and Matt get married
2. Seeing my cousin Summer's first baby, Heather and Samantha's second babies and Tania's 2nd and 3rd babies!
3. Hearing Andy say Momma
4. Figuring out what "normal life" is
5. Going camping for my birthday
6. Going to sleep tonight
7. Going to Vegas to celebrate our 5 year anniversary
8. Julie learning to listen (that one might be a pipe dream....)
8 things I did yesterday:
1. Crunched some numbers
2. Kept my job
3. Cried
4. Thought about how blessed I am and what an amazing family I have
5. Did 4 loads of laundry
6. Took out the trash
7. Tucked my kids in bed
8. Fell asleep
8 things I wish I could do:
1. Make Julie listen!!!!
2. Be caught up on laundry
3. Know what I wanted to be when I grow up
4. Take a day off to be home....ALONE
5. Figure out how to balance
6. Make there be more hours in the day
7. See my friends every day
8. Keep my house clean
8 shows I watch:
1. Jeopardy
2. What not to Wear
3. Simpsonss
4. Top Chef
I don't watch a lot of TV where I actually care what is on. So that is my short list.
I am not going to tag anyone, but that was fun, and if you have a blog, you should try it, it is harder than it looks.

Sling
Ok, so why did it take us so long to discover this!! I made this and I think it is our new best friend! Daddy can wear it too!
You can wear it all different ways. If you have a newborn, you can wear it so they are laying down, or on your front. Andy was very happy in there and I didn't feel like he was just hanging out like I do when he is in the front pack. I think he liked it because he was so snuggled up to us. I think Julie would actually work in it too, but I don't think she would be still long enough for us to get her in there!

7 Months and Sitting
Andy was 7 months yesterday. I took pictures but didn't get around to blogging because we were having too much fun at Justin's house! I love the picture below because it looks like he was holding the camera and took it himself.
Now that Andy is 7 months, he is eating like a horse and sitting up on his own. He eats cereal, bananas, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes and applesauce. He doesn't like pears, you would think you are feeding him pure lemons with the face he makes!
He is still a super happy boy, rolling all over the place and pushing himself up until his chest and tummy is off the floor! I think he wants to move...scary! He also loves playing with toys. He will sit and play for long periods of time. It always surprises me because Julie wasn't interested in toys. But he is getting so good, he can even put his stacking rings on their base! Smart boy!

Forgot One
When we were at church, there was a little blonde boy running around named Brody. Julie saw him and said, "Mommy! Dawson is here!"
I said, "That's not Dawson."
She said, "Well, it LOOKS like Dawson!!"

Speaking Julie
Julie talks a lot…she says funny things…I want to remember them…and share them with you…and her some day.
The other night I was feeding Andy cereal and peas. After his 2nd helping I said “Wow Andy, you are a monster!”
Julie replied with a big fat lip, “No mommy, I a Monster, Uncle Monster a Monster, Andy NOT a Monster!!!” Whoops, guess I struck a nerve!
On Easter, we went to church and when we walked in she said “Where’s Aunt Bess, she here?”
She got home from Grandma’s house and said, “Mommy, I like ham, did you know??”
Tonight at the store she said “hi” to one of the guys working there. He said “hello” and Julie looked at me and said, “He’s talkin’ to me!”
When John or I are trying to discipline her, or take away something she should have, she says “Walk away Mommy, walk away”
We had a house guest last weekend who had a 3 month old baby named Nicco and when I picked up Julie from her Memere’s on Friday, she said, “When I get home, Nicco be there, and I say ‘Hi Nicco, it nice to see you’”
When she woke up Monday I asked her if she wanted breakfast and she said “No Mommy, I WAY too full!”
Whenever we tell her what we are going to do, or where we are going to go, she says, "It'll be fun!"
When she gets an owie, she says "Call the Doctor!!!"
I love listening to her talk and sing. She sings all the time in the car and when she is playing. You just never know what she is going to say next!

Happy Easter!
This morning started out with Julie running into the living room shouting "Thank you Easter Bunny!" Then looking around the room saying "Where did he go??" She was upset that he was not there for her to thank, but she got over it quickly. Andy liked his basket too. He got an awesome new swim suit in his! The little bunny in the front was for Memere.
After church out at Margarita Ranch with Great Grandma Hazel, we came home for naps, then over to our friends who were having a big BBQ with a bounce house. Julie got to ride in a Jeep with her friend Kaitlin. She thought that was awesome. Andy got licked all over by a 6 month old St Bernard....he loved it and would grab on if the dog tried to get away!
Then we were on to Aunt Arlene's. We had a great dinner, played a little Mario Kart, then went out for an egg hunt. Julie really enjoyed it, since she was the only kid hunting and we were all cheering her on. She found tons of eggs. Andy got fed by my Cousin Mariah. She did such a great job. I think she was kinda in the wrong place at the wrong time, but she went along with it and ended up feeding him his entire dinner. All in all, a great Easter!

Alfalfa No More
It took me 2 years to cut Julies hair. But, it only took 6 months to buzz Andy's! I had to do it! He looked like a little rascal! He had funny long patches growing off the sides and top. His hair is growing in now, blonder and thicker, so I just evened it out. He looks so handsome, more grownup somehow....
And here is our bag lady, right before school this morning.

Happy Spring!
This morning we met up with Memere and took the kids to the zoo, fed the ducks, then Julie got to hunt for eggs for the first time ever! Aunt Arlene met us to share in the experience. Julie was not even scared of the Easter Bunny. At least not enough to deny him a kiss!
It is no wonder that both kids were asleep by the time we hit the freeway! What a great morning!
